Applications and selection processes are done at the Home university (1st year MSc).

For the University of Rennes1 (France):

1st year MSc programme

Applications to IMABEE are made between March and May 31st.

The application must be done at the following address: https://candidatures.univ-rennes1.fr/.

2nd year MSc programme (students from Aarhus, Amsterdam and Göttingen)

Applications are made between March and May 31st but selection will already be done within your 1st MSc year University (i.e. Aarhus, Amsterdam, or Gottingen)

Internship (starting in January) : the MSc internship coordinator will have to approve the project. The project needs to have an academic research focus. Generally, internship are done within the partner laboratories. It will also be possible to do the internship somewhere else in France but this will have to be discussed and validated

During their MSc internship, students will receive ~550€ per month. In addition, specific financial help for IMABEE students is currently being discussed (no decision taken yet (01/2017)).

For the Vrije Universiteit (The Netherlands):

1st year MSc programme

Selection of IMABEE students is done among the 1st year MSc students by the master coordinator. As a VU student, feel free to contact your master coordinator about the options, requirements, and selection criteria (see also http://www.vu.nl/ecology)

2nd year MSc programme (students from Aarhus, Gottingen and Rennes)

Applications must be in before 1 April. For course information, see http://www.vu.nl/ecology . Once your home university has approved your plan, the starting point for an application is http://masters.vu.nl/en/international/index.aspx

Internship (starting in January): the MSc internship coordinator will have to approve your research project. During the project, you also have the option to follow the course Scientific Writing in English. The project needs to have an academic research focus and should be done within one of the university’s departments with a VU supervisor. For the Aarhus Universitet (Danemark):

1st year MSc programme

Selection of IMABEE students is done among the 1st year MSc students by the degree programme coordinator at the Department of Bioscience.

As an AU student you must fill in a study contract after admission, and it is in this contract that you can apply for selection to the IMABEE programme.

2nd year MSc programme(students from Amsterdam, Gottingen and Rennes)

You must apply to be enrolled as IMABEE student at AU between March and May 1st if you have been selected for this programme during your 1st MSc year by your home university (i.e. Rennes, Amsterdam, or Gottingen).

Students from Amsterdam, Gottingen and Rennes will be registered as full degree students at AU. Since you have already been accepted for the IMABEE programme, you do not have to go through a new admission procedure for full degree students. However, in order for you to benefit from the full welcome package at AU, you need apply as an exchange student via the online application system. For the Georg-August Universität Göttingen (Germany):

1st year MSc programme

Selection of IMABEE students is done among the 1st year MSc students

 

2nd year MSc programme (students from Aarhus, Amsterdam and Rennes)

For the IMABEE students from Aarhus, Amsterdam and Rennes, winter term has to be schedule in advance. In March-April, the students selected within IMABEE have to contact the degree contact coordinator, Prof Dirk Gansert ( @ ). Please use in your message the title your_name, IMABEE student. The procedure for registration within IMABEE at Göttingen will be explained in details.
